Background

Mostly private water operators need financing to expand their water supply business, but it is very difficult to plan an investment to get a loan. Therefore, in 2022, the association CWA received financial support from Water. org to establish a water supply business data management system DMS. This system was co-developed by the association and E-Power CCL Co.,Ltd with the support of Water. org. Water Supply Business Database Management System is built on Windows Desktop. The main function of this system is to enter the survey data and financial data of the operator to find the loan.

Project Objectives

The water supply business data management system aims to collect the necessary information for seeking loans from financial institutions.

Scope of the project

The project will select 30 private water operators to use the water supply business data management system. The project will expand work with other operators PWOs after completing capacity building with the 30 stations.

Key activities in the project

1. 1. 1). Organize a workshop to disseminate information on water supply business project and project management system.
   2. 2). Select 30 water supply operators to participate in the project
   3. 3). Technical support to all 30 water supply operators in using the system.
   4. 4). Organize a workshop to reflect on the implementation of the water supply business data management system.
   5. 5). Expand the selection of operators to use this system.

Cooperation in project implementation

Water Organization. Org: Provide funding to support project implementation. Participate in coordinating and supporting activities. Participate in giving suggestions to improve the project. E-Water: Establish a data management system. Training for association staff. Support and train association staff in using the system. System maintenance.

CWA: Coordinate project activities. Training for operators. Train operators to support system implementation. Liaise with financial institutions and institutions. PWO Operator: Fully involved in project activities. Committed to implementing water supply business data management system. Participate in providing suggestions to improve the system. Stakeholders: Participate in project programs. Provide feedback if any.

Water Supply Operators: Increase knowledge and ability on accounting records and prepare accurate financial statements. Ready for work with taxes. Have complete business management data to make decisions. Have access to loans from financial institutions.

Water Organization. org and associations: Analyze the data collected and identify operators who can present to financial institutions to obtain loans. Identify operators who need technical assistance (TA) from Water. org and associations to help improve the business to be able to get loans from financial institutions and support has important data involved in the development of the water sector.

Financial institutions and other institutions: Easy to evaluate the financial information of the operator. Contains important data that contributes to the development of the water sector.
